Power Electronics is in the process of building a manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. We are currently searching for a Logistics Engineer who will help us design and define logistic processes, elaborate procedures, and implement actions.

Job Summary

The Head of Logistics will oversee and manage the operations of logistics facilities and distribution centers in the North American region, reporting directly to the Corporate Logistics Director and the US Plant Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

· Supervise daily logistics operations in the distribution centers, including goods receiving (inbound), warehousing, order picking, packing and shipping (outbound).

· Ensure the implementation of projects launched by the support departments at the Headquarter

· Coordinate and provide direct support to the Logistic Managers at multiple sites, who lead the warehouse teams (Shipping & Receiving Leads), ensuring the correct allocation of resources, shifts, priorities and compliance with operational objectives.

. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy, stock rotation, loading/unloading times, productivity per operator and space efficiency, proposing corrective actions when necessary.

· Oversee the management of physical and digital inventories, including the execution of cycle counts, stock audits, location control, lot traceability and resolution of discrepancies between systems and physical reality.

. Manage logistics incidents in real time, such as delivery delays, picking errors, stock-outs or problems with carriers, coordinating with Customer Service, Production, Purchasing and Transportation to minimize impacts.

. Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental (EHS) regulations in logistics operations, leading inspections, training and preventive actions in collaboration with the Safety department.

· Collaborate with the transportation and planning team to coordinate loads, deliveries and pick-ups, optimizing routes, transit times and logistics costs.

· Oversee the correct use of logistics IT systems, such as ERP (SAP), WMS and scanning tools, ensuring data integrity and traceability of operations.

· Train, evaluate and develop the logistics team, ensuring the transmission of technical knowledge, compliance with procedures and continuous improvement of operational skills. Comply with the matrix of roles and responsibilities for safety and health in the workplace (P14.130S-F01).

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.

. Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics operations, with at least 2 in team supervision.

. Experience in industrial or distribution environments for electronic or technical components preferred.

· Working knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, and logistics security

. Experience in shift management, incident resolution and coordination of operational teams.

. Strong knowledge of SAP is a must, with proven experience in business environments highly valued

· Fluency in English required, read and written. Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial.
