Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and implementation of actions and strategies to improve health and safety in the assigned area.
  • Ensure compliance with the ‘Department Philosophy’, the adaptation of new recruits and the physical and, as far as possible, mental well-being of your team.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, as well as risk assessments and monitoring of particularly sensitive workers.
  • Prepare the correct documentation for health and safety procedures in accordance with regulations, as well as any modifications and updates that may occur.
  • Identify, select and define health and safety training in your area of management, as well as manage and monitor the training plan to ensure compliance.
  • Report and investigate incidents and accidents, getting to the root cause, obtaining preventive measures and opportunities for improvement, and managing them with the appropriate indicators.
  • Identify, select and place purchase orders for PPE, as well as control its delivery and expiry date.
  • Ensure legal compliance in the area, including the identification of applicable legal requirements.
  • Prepare, manage and collaborate in internal and external audits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years' experience in health and safety management, preferably in international companies.
  • University degree (diploma, bachelor's degree and/or master's degree)
  • Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
