Power Electronics is in the process of building a manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. We are currently searching for a Logistics Engineer who will help us design and define logistic processes, elaborate procedures, and implement actions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and define logistic procedures, as well as packaging and perform the calculations and selection of storage systems.
- Define and implement actions to adapt the layout (analysis of areas, routes and distribution alternatives). Reflect the modifications in CAD.
- Analysis of warehouse stock levels and proposal of storage solutions that reduce the % of occupation.
- Evaluate and analyze the logistics processes to be automated, performing the necessary studies, selecting suppliers and calculating the return and economic impact of the different alternatives.
- Define the parameters and specifications from the logistics flows and adapt the system in collaboration with the IT department.
- Configure the logistics parameters in SAP for new projects.
- Elaborate the procedures linked to improvements implemented in SAP.
- Identify the different needs of the departments that make up the supply chain and implement actions that facilitate the alignment and proper coordination.
- Lead transversal projects, collaborating with all Supply Chain departments.
- Report the information and indicators requested by your immediate manager.
- Comply with procedures for the correct development of the work and the regulations associated with the health and safety policy of Power Electronics.
- Ensure the progress and compliance of projects by coordinating the team members.
- Monitoring of department KPIs.
Requirements
- AS or BS in Industrial Engineering or similar (desirable)
- At least 2 years experience in similar role.
- Advanced Microsoft Office package.
- Knowledge in SAP and CAD (desirable)
- Spanish (desirable).
