Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting our Field Service Technicians with programming of Utility Scale Inverters, Power Plan Controllers, Battery Interface Controllers.
  • Supporting Clients with AEMO standards, R2 Testing; Hold Points & Performance Investigations. (Remotely and at times on site).
  • Checking and updating settings according to the RUG (Release User Guidelines), Scope of Supply and Client requirements.
  • Working within a team of Power Electronics Engineers to troubleshoot software, firmware, and settings issues.
  • Assisting with any site commissioning activities, communications, protocols and troubleshooting for electricians and customers.
  • Following relevant codes and industry standards which govern electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrating an excellent aptitude with electrical and mechanical tools/devices.
  • Updating your knowledge by reading manuals, electrical drawings, and specifications to ensure correct operation of equipment.
  • Understanding of written instructions and comprehension of verbal communications then ability to outline solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Liaising with Power Electronics Engineers in Spain to implement continuous improvement of product in the field.

 

About you

  • Ideally, you will possess a wide skillset, which could include commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, monitoring.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering. (Essential)
  • At least 3 years' experience working as an Electrical/Electronic Engineer at Power Electronics.
  • Experience with a solar or battery storage projects.
  • Strong electrical engineering knowledge and aptitude, hands-on skills, and good problem-solving ability.
  • Skilled in various communications and control systems and protocols (SCADA, PLC or similar).
  • A customer focus and ability to be flexible and attentive to customers' needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
