The Role
We are looking for a Systems Technician I to join our IT team in Houston, Texas. This is an on-site position designed for professionals with approximately 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or systems administration.
The successful candidate will provide first-level technical support to end users and ensure the reliable operation of workplace technology across our facilities. We are looking for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to solving technical issues.
As part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting business operations and ensuring employees have the technology and assistance they need to succeed.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows 11, macOS, Linux, and Android devices.
- Create and maintain basic PowerShell scripts to support automation and administrative activities.
- Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM ticketing platforms, ensuring timely resolution.
- Install, configure, and support office printers and industrial label printers, including Zebra and Sato devices.
- Provide technical support for conference rooms, collaboration tools, and audiovisual systems.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and licenses within Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Support mobile devices, telephony services, and network-related troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets, mobile devices, and communication equipment.
- Travel between company locations when required to provide on-site technical assistance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding safety, quality, and information security.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Associate Degree, Technical Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent education in:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Information Systems
- Network Administration
- Computer Science
- Related technical disciplines
Professional Experience
- Approximately 2 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or systems administration roles.
- Experience supporting users in corporate, manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments is considered a plus.
- Basic experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, operating systems administration, and IT service management tools.
Languages
- English: Native or Advanced.
- Spanish: Nice to have.
